China Indie Library

"China Indie Library" is a collaborative project exploring the vibrant indie publishing scene of contemporary China. Curatorial platforms Bactagon Projects and New Territories Studio will showcase a diverse array of zines, artist books and editions, experimental comics and small-run journals, most of which have never been shown internationally before. Through a curated display library, a selection of new and exclusive materials for sale, as well as live conversations and crossover events, we hope to contextualize this emerging movement in China’s contemporary art and design world, and hope to spur more exchange between Chinese zinemakers and their overseas counterparts.
